EME Strategy: MSCI – Chinese A-shares weight in MSCI EM increased

On 28 February, after the close, the MSCI announced that, following consultations, it has decided to increase the inclusion factor of the Chinese Large Cap A-shares in the MSCI EM index from 5% to 20% in 2019E. In addition, it has decided to add the Chinese Mid-Cap A-shares to the index along with the November 2019 Semi Annual Index Review (SAIR).
