Stocks endured another round of strike on Wednesday as the benchmark KSE 100 index lost 333.25 pts. Indices
slipped lower and lower for most part of the day.
Volumes for the day
KSE 100 index recorded intraday high of 46,875.49 pts. The index then drove in reverse direction touching day’s low
at 46,309.86 pts losing 566 pts. It settled lower by 333.25 pts at 46,396.71. KSE 100 market volume inched from 126
mn in the last session to 143 mn shares. TPL Corp Limited (TPL +0.95%), Telecard Limited (TELE +7.14%) and and
Pakistan International Airlines Corp (PIAA -2.56%) were the volume leaders of the session. The scripts had 39.02 mn
shares, 37.42 mn shares and 31.85 mn shares traded, respectively.
Contributors to KSE100
From the sectoral perspective, major interest were seen in Cement Sector and Oil & Gas Sector. Company-wise, Luck
Cement (LUCK -83.06 pts), Engro Corporation Limited (Engro -50.46 pts) and Pakistan Services Limited (PSEL +39 pts)
were the top contributors in the index.
