Gaining points rally continues on the second consecutive session, KSE 100 closed in green. Indices accumulated gains
all day long while volumes appreciated from last close. Equity markets around the world showed mixed performance.
Index Performance
Gaining 600.99 pts the benchmark KSE 100 recorded intraday high of 47,226.11 pts. Day’s low of index is 46,625.12
pts. It settled with 573.17 pts at 47,198.29 pts. The KMI 30 index increased by 1,068.65 pts closing at 76,996.39 pts.
Also, KSE All Share index was up by 361.1 pts closing at 32,388.43.
Volumes for the day
Overall KSE-100 volume recorded the highest of last 5 days with 174 mn shares. Azgard Nine Limited (ANL -1.00%),
Service Fabrics Limited Right Shares (SERFR -17.99%) and Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited (MLCF +1.95%) led the
volume chart. The scrips had 39.65 mn shares, 33.53 mn shares and 26.97 mn shares traded, respectively.
Contributors to KSE100
Sectors driving the benchmark KSE 100 index north included Cement sector (131.03 pts), Technology and
Communication sector (126.34 pts) and Banking sector (113.24 pts). Company-wise, Meezan Bank Limited (MEBL
97.49 pts), TRG Pakistan Limited (TRG 76.58 pts) and Lucky Cement Limited (LUCK 72.00 pts) were top points
contributors.
Selected Sector Performance
The Cement sector gained 2.69% in its market capitalization. Bestway Cement Limited (BWCL +0.56%), D. G. Khan
Cement Company Limited (DGKC +2.58 %) and Lucky Cement Limited (LUCK +3.58%) all closed in green.
