YHSL Market Wrap Report 15-09-2021

KSE 100 index was once again under the radar of bears. Indices traded in red for most part of the day while volumes
declined from last close. Equity markets around the world showed mixed performance.
Index Performance
Clenching 60.97 pts the benchmark KSE 100 index recorded intraday high of 46,952.31. It then dropped to day’s low
of 46,505.13 losing 386.21 pts. The index ended lower by 174.62 pts at 46,716.72. The KMI 30 index declined by
536.15 pts closing at 75,432.28. While the KSE All Share index fell short by 92.57 pts settling at 32,058.99.
Volumes for the day
Overall market volumes declined from 479.73 mn shares on Tuesday to 332.73 mn shares. Highest participation was
witnessed in TPL Corp Limited (TPL +7.31%), Telecard Limited (TELE -4.89%) and Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited
(BYCO -1.21%). The scrips had 29.62 mn shares, 28.13 mn shares and 23.28 mn shares traded, respectively.
Contributors to KSE100
Sectors dragging the benchmark KSE 100 index lower included Cement sector (-82.83 pts), Oil and Gas Exploration
(-20.42 pts) and Textile Composite sector (-22.37 pts). Company-wise, Systems Limited (SYS 17.31 pts), Habib
Metropolitan Bank Limited (HMB 18.15 pts) and Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited (MLCF 20.91) were top negative
contributors.
Selected Sector Performance
The Cement sector lost 1.50% from its cumulative market capitalization. Bestway Cement Limited (BWCL 1.01%), D.
G. Khan Cement Company Limited (DGKC 2.96%) and Lucky Cement Limited (LUCK 0.74%) all closed in red.
