YHSL Market Wrap Report 24-09-2021

Market witnessed the roll-over volatile session on Friday. Total market volumes remained low. Indices slipped lower
and lower for most part of the day. Equity market around the world showed mixed performance.
Index Performance
Accumulating 127.38 pts the benchmark KSE 100 index recorded intraday high of 45,424.26. It then fell to day’s low
of 44,861.09 losing 435.79 pts. The index ended lower by 171.57 pts at 45,125.31. The KMI 30 index declined by
165.35 pts closing at 71,979.73. While the KSE All Share index fell short by 123.05 pts settling at 30,817.51.
Volumes for the day
Overall market volumes fell from 443 mn shares in previous session to 368 mn shares traded today. Highest
participation was witnessed in Worldcall Telecom (WTL -2.71%), Unity Foods Limited (UNITY -3.19%) and Byco
Petroleum Pakistan Limited (BYCO -3.32%). The scripts had 39.60 mn shares, 36.07 mn shares and 29.26 mn shares
traded, respectively.
Contributors to KSE100
Sectors driving the benchmark KSE 100 index in red included Banking sector (38.34 pts), Cement sector (37.03 pts)
and Automobile Assembler (25.01 pts). Company-wise, Indus Motors Company Limited (INDU 18.81 pts), Meezan
Bank Limited (MEBL 15.04 pts) and K-Electric Limited (KEL 12.1 pts) were top negative contributors.
Selected Sector Performance
The Refinery sector (-2.84%) lost its cumulative market capitalization. Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited (BYCO
3.32%), National Refinery Limited (NRL 2.94%) and Attock Refinery Limited (ATRL 1.99%) all closed in negative.
