YHSL Market Wrap Report 27-10-2021

Bulls dominated the Pakistan Stock Exchange in a short session on Wednesday. Trading remained suspended for
more than two hours due to a technical issue. Indices accumulated gains all day long while volumes remained low.
Equity markets around the globe showed negative trend.
- Pakistani Rupee staged a steep recovery appreciating to Rs173.1 against the US dollar during the day
after Saudi Arabia agreed to provide a $4.2 billion lifeline to Pakistan on an annual basis in the shape of
cash assistance and oil on deferred payments.
Index Performance
Accumulating 796.96 pts the benchmark KSE 100 index recorded intraday high of 46,024.76 crossing the 46,000
mark. It settled higher by 623.24 pts at 45,851.04. The KMI 30 index was up by 341.82 pts closing at 22,356.86. While
the KSE All Share index ended with an addition of 367.59 pts at 31,355.56.
Volumes for the day
Overall market volumes appreciated from 163.07 mn shares in last session to 178.09 mn shares. Worldcall Telecom
(WTL +3.91%), Unity Foods Limited (UNITY +1.12%) and Hum Network Limited (HUMNL -0.15%) led the volume
chart. The scrips had 11.84 mn shares, 11.01 mn shares and 10.13 mn shares traded, respectively.
Contributors to KSE100
Sectors painting the benchmark KSE 100 index positive included Cement sector (139.25 pts), Technology and
Communication sector (105.23 pts) and Banking sector (82.24 pts). Company-wise, TRG Pakistan Limited (TRG 61.75
pts), Lucky Cement Limited (LUCK 57.15 pts) and MCB Bank Limited (MCB 46.27 pts) were top points contributors.
Selected Sector Performance
The Cement sector gained 3.20% in its total market capitalization. Lucky Cement Limited (LUCK 2.42%), Maple Leaf
Cement Factory Limited (MLCF 4.19%) and Bestway Cement Limited (BWCL 1.49%) all closed in green.
