Recovering the losses made in previous session, market closed the session on Tuesday in green. Indices accumulated
gains all day long while volumes inched up from last close.
Index Performance
Gaining 476.61 pts the benchmark KSE 100 index recorded intraday high of 45,294.37. It settled higher by 457.17 pts
at 45,274.93. The KMI 30 index appreciated by 793.79 pts closing at 72,613.49. While the KSE All Share index was up
by 217.89 pts ending at 30,762.20.
Volumes for the day
Overall market volumes improved from 301.05 mn shares in last session to 364.38 mn shares. Highest volumes were
witnessed in Telecard Limited (TELE +7.48%), Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited (BYCO +11.84%) and Worldcall
Telecom (WTL +5.43%). The scrips had 35.84 mn shares, 33.64 mn shares and 22.14 mn shares traded, respectively.
Contributors to KSE100
Sectors driving the benchmark KSE 100 index north included Technology and Communication sector (156.52 pts),
Refinery sector (40.42 pts) and Food and Personal Care Products sector (35.68 pts). Company-wise, TRG Pakistan
Limited (TRG 125.77 pts), Meezan Bank Limited (MEBL 35.94 pts) and Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL 32.92 pts) were
top positive contributors.
Selected Sector Performance
The Refinery sector (+8.15%) closed as top gainer. Attock Refinery Limited (ATRL 5.70%), Pakistan Refinery Limited
(PRL 6.53%), National Refinery Limited (NRL 4.95%) and Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited (BYCO 11.84%) all closed in
green.
