Update: Re-moulding the business
Revenue growth and margin progression were both notable features of H115 results, confirming that recovery is underway. Changes to the business model have been made with greater local alignment within new sales regions ongoing. Management is aiming to deliver sustainable growth with ambitious FY18 targets. Depending on progress here, Volex may start to be seen as a value, rather than recovery, play.
Update: Refinanced for recovery
Early indications of progress under new strategic direction are seen in FY14 results (which should represent trough earnings). Volex is raising c $30m new equity and the associated interest benefit and EPS dilution are the primary changes to estimates. The valuation acknowledges a short-term recovery, but we consider medium-term upside is somewhat greater (PBT in 2012 was $28m) and this is still to be reflected in the share price.
