Lincoln Financial Group Receives 100 Percent Rating in 2018 Corporate Equality Index

Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC) proudly announced today that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. This latest recognition marks the seventh year the company has been recognized by the HRC, and the third year in a row it received a perfect score and was named a best place to work for LGBTQ equality.

"Every year, the Human Rights Campaign challenges organizations to be bolder and better, and it is an honor to be recognized with a 100 percent score on the CEI for the third consecutive year," said Allison Green, senior vice president and chief diversity officer for Lincoln Financial. "Maintaining our score reflects our commitment to ensuring an inclusive workplace, where we recognize and celebrate our differences as a driver of innovation.”

Lincoln Financial is one of 609 major U.S. businesses that received top marks this year. The 2018 CEI rated 947 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

"The top-rated employers in this year's Corporate Equality Index have demonstrated that LGBTQ equality is not just right, but smart business. By implementing LGBTQ-inclusive policies, practices and benefits, Lincoln Financial is helping to lead the way towards full equality for all, as well as strengthening its ability to attract and retain a diverse, talented workforce," Deena Fidas, Workplace Equality Program Director.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community.
