Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE: LNC) announced today that Carrie Chelko, senior vice president and chief counsel, Distribution, was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal and received its 2017 Women of Distinction award, honoring the region's most influential women in business. “Carrie’s many professional accomplishments throughout her career are impressive but her ability to inspire positive change really sets her apart and makes her truly deserving of this honor,” said Kirkland Hicks, executive vice president and general counsel. “I am extremely proud of Carrie’s dedication to her community and her passion for advocating on behalf of those in need. She is an outstanding example of our commitment to live Lincoln’s legacy.”

Throughout her career, Chelko has been an advocate for seniors and major issues they face such as diminished capacity and exploitation. Within the financial services industry, she is an agent for positive regulatory change designed to enhance the protection of senior investors, especially those that are more likely to be victims of financial exploitation.
