Storyful Launches "Marketplace" for User-Generated Video

Storyful, the leader in discovering, validating and acquiring social video for global media organizations, announced today the launch of the Storyful Marketplace, the definitive solution for licensing user-generated video engaging worldwide audiences daily.

The Marketplace allows news producers and content professionals to browse a library of user-generated video from the last six years and see daily updates of the videos being talked about on the social web. Features include the ability to search by topic, date or keyword, track purchase history and invite team members to collaborate. Partners will also receive the critical context and industry-leading verification that comes with every piece of Storyful content. To purchase a video, customers will complete a short form and pay with a major credit card or PayPal account.

Storyful has massed 4.2 billion views on YouTube in six years and billions more around the world. The Marketplace houses all the essential news and viral videos partners expect including the SpaceX Rocket Explosion, Hillary Clinton Fainting and Diver Attacked by a Great White Shark.

“Storyful helps partners scale their content creation by finding the moments that matter and putting those moments in the hands of professional storytellers. The Marketplace is designed to remove the friction from the process and allow partners to find and purchase the video they need quickly,” said Rahul Chopra, CEO of Storyful.

All existing Storyful partners that do not have a download button in the Newswire or a bundle agreement will be granted instant access to the Marketplace. Potential partners should contact [email protected] to begin the signup process.
