ACI Worldwide and PAX Bring Additional Payment Terminal Options for Merchants Globally

SHENZHEN, China, July 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ACI Worldwide, a leading global provider of real-time electronic payment and banking solutions, and PAX Technology Limited (HKSE stock code: 00327.HK), one of the world’s leading electronic payment terminal solutions providers, have entered into a non-exclusive global agreement to offer additional payment terminal options for merchants worldwide. In addition, PAX payment terminals will be the first to receive nexo certification with ACI’s UP Merchant Payments solution. nexo certification enables fast, interoperable and borderless payments acceptance by standardizing the exchange of payment acceptance data between merchants, acquirers, payment service providers and other payment stakeholders.

PAX is ranked as one of the top global payment terminal solution suppliers, and offers a wide variety of merchant payment terminals, including point-of sale options such as multilane, mobile and mPOS. Simplifying implementation for merchants that want to use the solution globally, PAX’s terminal software architecture facilitates easy integration with ACI’s UP Merchant Payments solution. The combination of PAX with UP Merchant Payments leverages the open, universal ISO20022 nexo standard and supports mixed estates, allows additional functionality to be incorporated, and eases integration with other card processing systems.

“Partnering with a global payments leader like ACI builds on our strong global presence for delivering innovative payment solutions required by today’s leading merchants,” said Andy Chau, CEO of PAX US. “With ACI, we will provide merchants the flexibility to manage operational efficiencies and cost savings by providing more payment options for their customers.”

“Merchants want choice when it comes to deploying payment technologies like contactless and mobile point-of-sale,” said Lynn Holland, vice president, merchant solutions, ACI Worldwide. “Our collaborative partnership with PAX has already generated considerable interest from merchants, as it empowers them to offer more payment options to their customers worldwide. Moreover, the nexo standards benefit merchants struggling to support numerous interface protocols and certifications.”

ACI’s UP Merchant Payments solution offers merchants a secure omni-channel payments platform that provides flexibility to fit strategic channel needs along with the scalability to meet sales growth. ACI’s cloud-based, omni-channel payments solutions support customer loyalty and revenue growth by providing a seamless payments experience, whatever the channel, geography, payments type or fulfilment option desired by the merchant.
