Tyler Technologies Celebrates 50 Years with NYSE Bell Ringing

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today announced that company executives, including President and CEO John S. Marr Jr., will ring The NYSE Closing Bell® on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today, Oct. 20, 2016, at 3:55 p.m. EDT to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the company's founding.

“Tyler has built a broad and deep pool of experience providing essential enterprise applications to local governments for decades, and today we’re more encouraged than ever by the types of solutions we’re able to offer clients. We are equally excited by the public sector’s appetite for using technology to better and more efficiently serve their constituents,” Marr said. “As Tyler reaches the half-century milestone, we remain energized and committed to creating value for our employees, clients and investors, which includes continuing our strong relationship with the NYSE. Ringing The NYSE Closing Bell today is a fitting way to celebrate our relationship with the stock exchange and the public sector clients we serve.”

In the first half of the company’s history, its strategic acquisitions included companies in various segments that fulfilled U.S. military and industrial contracts. In 1997, Tyler’s leadership shifted its focus to local government and began providing software solutions and services to the public sector, primarily state and local governments and their various departments. Today, Tyler offers enterprise software solutions supporting essential local government activity; the seven verticals served are appraisal and tax; courts and justice; ERP financial; planning, regulatory and maintenance; public safety; records and documents; and schools. Tyler has achieved a compound annual growth rate of 20 percent in earnings per share since 2002.
