Tyler Technologies to Provide Court Case and Land Record Management Solutions to Gwinnett County, Georgia

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) signed an agreement with Gwinnett County, Georgia, for Tyler’s Odyssey® court case management and Eagle Recorder land record solutions.

After experiencing issues with data conversion and managing records with their current vendor, Gwinnett County was looking for a new solution that would address their evolving needs related to managing court documents and land records. After a thorough review process of multiple vendors, the county ultimately selected Tyler for its Odyssey and Eagle Recorder solutions.

“We were impressed with Tyler’s Odyssey solution initially because of its proven track record in the metro-Atlanta area, which is particularly important because of problems we’ve had with our prior case management system vendor,” said Clerk of Courts Richard Alexander, Gwinnett County. “We will also be using Eagle Recorder to manage land records, and the combination of the two solutions will help our various departments work more efficiently for our county’s constituents.”

Odyssey will provide the county with a modern case management solution for the Superior, State, Magistrate, and Probate courts. The county will be able to use Tyler’s dataXchange to easily share information in real time with the other metro Atlanta courts, including those in Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Rockdale and Spalding counties. Gwinnett will now be able to join the majority of Georgia’s large counties in adopting eFileGA for electronic filing – something not previously supported by their prior case management vendor. eFileGA covers more than 50 percent of the population of Georgia, and has more than 100,000 registered users.

In addition to Odyssey and eFileGA, this project will include the Eagle Recorder solution, which will enable the county to better manage recording and filing, imaging, indexing, and retrieval of property records and documents. Together with Odyssey, the solutions will help create streamlined processes for the various departments within the county.

“We’re pleased to continue to grow our presence in the metro-Atlanta area through both our court case and land record management solutions,” said Bruce Graham, president of Tyler’s Courts & Justice Division. “By providing a total solution to Gwinnett County, they will be able to not only share real-time information with neighboring courts using Odyssey, but will also benefit from the efficiencies gained with an integrated project such as this one.”

With this agreement, Tyler’s Odyssey solution will be used in five of the six largest counties in the state. Nationwide, Odyssey serves more than 900 counties with a combined population of more than 120 million, comprising 40 percent of the U.S. population.

Gwinnett County is the second largest county by population in Georgia, with nearly 900,000 residents. Tyler also provides appraisal services to the county and school transportation solutions to the Gwinnett County Public Schools.
