Dynamic Top Pick List Update June: Removing Merus, Shurgard and Adyen – Adding Kinepolis

In this June update, we've made four adjustments to the KBC Securities Dynamic Top Pick List:

1.Merus (Removed – 27 May) was removed following the release of strong interim Phase 2 data at the ASCO 2025 conference. Its lead asset, petosemtamab, in combination with Keytruda, showed a 63% overall response rate in first-line treatment of head and neck cancer—significantly outperforming Keytruda monotherapy. The resulting share price surge validated our investment thesis.

2. Adyen (Removed) has delivered a return of nearly 24% since its inclusion. While our outlook remains constructive, the upside to our €1,750 target price has narrowed. Given recent gains and expected short-term volatility tied to geopolitical developments, we are removing Adyen from the list.

3. Shurgard (Removed): Since its addition in December 2024, Shurgard's share price has remained flat. The anticipated catalyst—a non-bid on Access Self Storage—materialized, but the stock failed to re-rate. With the catalyst now behind us, we are removing Shurgard from the list.

4. Kinepolis Group (Added), supported by a strong recovery in international box office performance during April and May 2025. The company has regained its pre-COVID financial strength and is well-positioned for further growth. Its strategic focus on premiumization and expansion in North America reinforces our Buy rating and €50 DCF-based target price.

Following these changes, we maintain a defensive stance in our Benelux Dynamic Top Pick List. The portfolio remains balanced, with 8 cyclical and 4 defensive stocks, emphasizing undervalued value names. Real estate remains overweight, benefiting from the lower interest rate environment.

We've also observed that several stocks have been disproportionately penalized by minor setbacks. These may prove more resilient over FY25 as investors increasingly seek out overlooked opportunities.

Since the last update of our Dynamic Top Pick List on 8 May 2025, the portfolio has outperformed the benchmark indices (AEX, Bel20, and Eurostoxx50) by an average of 3%, largely driven by the strong performance of Merus.
