Euro area: September inflation review Flash estimate

According to Eurostat's Flash estimate, the Euro area annual headline inflation stabilized at 2. 23 % in September, up from 2.04% in August. Core inflation, which excludes energy and food, alcohol and tobacco prices, held at 2. 35 %, versus 2.27% in the previous month. Flash estimates by components showed: The contribution of Services to annual headline inflation in creasing to 1.4 7 pp (1.41pp in August). The contribution of Food, Alcohol and Tobacco going down to 0. 59 pp (0.62pp in August). The contribution of the Energy inflation at -0. 03 pp (-0.18pp in August). Non-Energy Industrial Goods (NEIG) contribution stable to 0.20pp. Should the price level of headline HICP remain at its September preliminary level until end-December 2025, headline inflation would average 2.11%yoy over 2025 and stand at 1,85%yoy in December.
