Will Another Trump Call for the FCC to Revoke the CBS Licenses Work?
Back in February, CBS complied with FCC Chair Carr’s request for the unedited transcript of the 60 Minutes interview with then Presidential candidate Kamala Harris. President Trump responded that the transcript justifies the FCC revoking the CBS license and forcing a shutdown of 60 Minutes. This past weekend, after two other 60 minutes segment Trump did not like, Trump again called for CBS to lose its licenses. In this note, we update our earlier analysis of whether the FCC will follow the President’s instructions.
