Co.'s private equity business is focused on three sectors: consumer, industrial and business and technology services. Co. invests primarily in northern Europe and North America.
Credit Saison is mainly engaged in the provision of credit services. Along with its affiliates, Co. operates in five business segments: credit services, lease, finance, real estate-related and entertainment. Co. is engaged in the credit card (SAISON and UC) business, the servicing (loan collection agency) business, the handling vendor leasing business for office equipment mainly targeting SME clients, the credit guarantee (unsecured free-loans to individual customers) business, the finance (long-term fixed-rate mortgage loans) business, the real estate and real estate leasing business, and the amusement business mainly indoor recreation facilities.
LIC Housing Finance provides loans for purchase, construction, repairs and renovation of houses and flats to individuals, corporate bodies, builders and co-operative housing societies. Co.'s subsidiary is engaged in the business of setting up, running and maintaining assisted living community centre and care homes for senior citizens.
NH Investment & Securities Co is engaged in securities trading providing services to both institutional and individual clients. Co.'s activities include equity brokerage; financial consultation on asset portfolio management, real estate and business investment; investment banking such as securities underwriting, distribution, and trading; research services; asset management; and the dealing of futures, options, and foreign exchange. As of Mar 31 2010, Co. had total assets of SKW18,935,291,000,000 and total deposits of SKW1,426,867,000,000. Co. operates 116 domestic branches, 9 sales representative offices and 5 overseas offices.
