NT is a technology-driven financial products and services company. The company was only incorporated in 2018, it offers personal loans, home loans, general insurance and mutual funds. It also offers microfinance loans, through its Chaitanya brand.
NT appears to be aiming to be a digital first lender, with much of the loan application process being done online without the need for a visit to the branch. It has already set up an online process for its personal loans, retail health insurance and asset management offering and appears to be trying to do the same with its home loans portfolio as well.
NT has also scaled up its offering rapidly over the past few quarters. Although, its financial performance hasn’t all been great with the company going in and out of losses and its NPAs spiking as well.
Furthermore, it's not clear on what basis the company selects its product mix with its microfinance offering not really gelling with the rest of its portfolio.
Navi Technologies Pre-IPO
Navi Technologies (NT) aims to raise around US$500m in its India listing. The company was started by Sachin Bansal, co-founder of Flipkart which was sold to Walmart in 2018.
