The carrier falls in a challenging market

Kuwaiti hybrid carrier, Jazeera Airways, reported that its net profit for 2016 dropped by 29.8%, to KWD10.8m, compared to KWD15.4m for 2015. The operating profit decreased by 35.3% to KWD8.8m. The profit was achieved on revenues of KWD52.8m, down 10% compared to 2015’s figure of KWD56.8m. Q4 2016 saw Jazeera return a rare loss, recording a deficit of KWD1.2m. 2016 load factor was up by 0.3% at 69.2%. Passenger numbers were up by 0.3%, while the posted On-time Performance was at 94%.
