Jazeera Airways achieved a year-on-year increase of 35.6% in profits to KWD8.2m in the third quarter of 2017. The operating revenues grew by 16.8%, on an annual basis, to KWD21.9m in Q3-17. During the first nine months of 2017, the airline recorded a drop of 20.3% in net profits to KWD9.54m from YTD 2016 (9M/YTD 2016 net results included a one-off KWD2.4m transfer from Foreign Currency Translation Reserve, reclassified to Statement of Income).
Kuwaiti hybrid carrier, Jazeera Airways, reported that its net profit for 2016 dropped by 29.8%, to KWD10.8m, compared to KWD15.4m for 2015. The operating profit decreased by 35.3% to KWD8.8m. The first nine months of 2016 saw the airline Jazeera Airways record net profits of KWD12m, down by 9.7%, year-on-year, in 2015. Its revenue for the nine-month period was KWD43.5m, down by 8.77% compared to the corresponding period. However, passenger numbers rose by 2.6% and the load factor jumped by 1.8% to 71.5% compared to the same period in 2015. Moreover, on-time performance was registered at 90.1%.
Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways reported a net profit of KWD6m for H1 2016, down by 3% from the same period in 2015. H1 2015 operating revenues also showed a drop of 7.3% from H1 2015, posting KWD24.7m. The company posted positive results across key performance indicators with passenger numbers going up 3.2% from 2015; Load factor up 3.2% from 2015; and on-time performance reaching 90.1%.
