Harshly affected by claims

Q4 2016 released figures show an increase in net written premiums of 10.1%, to TND295.5m in 2016, with a retention rate of 89.3% for both activities. This improvement was backed by the Life activity (+90.4%), reaching TND12.5m and a modest growth of 8.1% for the Non-life activity. Gross claims went up by 20% to reach TND216.1m in 2016. This rise comes mainly from the automobile segment.
As for the financial income, it stood at TND49.5m, representing a growth rate of 7.9% compared with the same date one year earlier.
