November 2022 CPI Report: Breaking the Highs

Yesterday, the NBS released the November 2022 inflation report detailing how Headline inflation rose to 21.47% YoY. Noticeably, the two (2) sub-components occasioned a sharp uptrend in Headline inflation for November 2022. The Food Inflation sub-component surged 41bps  from October to 24.13% in November 2022. Similarly, Core Inflation soared 48bps from October to 18.24% in November 2022. On a Month-on-Month (MoM) basis, Headline Inflation rose by 15bps to 1.39% in November 2022, ending its three (3) months deceleration.
