India, NIFTY: Uptrend Resumes, Targeting 13,500+

India’s NSE NIFTY 50 Index (NIFTY – 10,452) has cleared resistance at 10,000-10,365, setting a new all-time high of 10,462, the next barrier is at 11,000. Our NIFTY Primary Trend Indicator (PTI) remains on a buy signal given in June 2016, the NIFTY has gained 27.1% in the 17 months since the signal was given. The three prior buy signals given since 2004, lasted longer and saw more substantial gains. Our base case remains a move to 13,500+. We remain 50% long from 8,120 and will add another 25% at market today, raising our stop loss to a daily close below 9,685.
