Last week, Gazprom and Gazprom Neft jointly conducted their annual investor and analyst field trip to Russia’s gas mecca and the heart of Gazprom’s production base, the Nadym-Pur-Taz region, as well as the Novoportovskoye field on the Yamal Peninsula. Both companies provided updates on their long-term strategies. Gazprom discussed details of its plan to develop the Achimov layers, which assumes a considerable ramp-up of gas condensate production. We visited Zapolyarnoye, the largest gas field in Russia, which provides Gazprom with considerable flexibility in its day-to-day production operations. At Novoportovskoye, Gazprom Neft talked about its development plans and discussed the new multi-stage fracking technology, which helps increase well flow considerably.
