This morning, Kobo Resources (KRI:TSXV) announced drill results from six diamond drill holes at its Kossou Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. Today’s results were mainly from the Road Cut Zone, which continue to outline strong gold mineralization across wide intervals. Today’s results strengthen management’s understanding of the key structural controls that define this prospective target. Also in today’s release, KRI outlined a 15,000m drill program for H2/25, highlighting that it remains on track to report a maiden resource estimate next year. We are maintaining our BUY rating and $0.55/share target price on KRI.
The Company also announced that it has completed its initial test of the gap between the Road Cut and Jagger Zones. This was tested through one hole (KDD0087), which intersected a well-defined shear zone near surface but did not return significant gold mineralization. The discovery of the shear structure supports further investigation in this area. Also in this release, KRI announced it is continuing regional exploration activities at the South Jagger and Western Kossou Permit Areas. This work includes soil geochemistry sampling to derive high-priority targets going forward. Additionally, the Company has collected 1,942 soil samples at the Kotobi Permit. More information about this work can be found on pages 2-4.
