KRI: Strong Drill Results Start to Roll In, Jagger Zone First

What you need to know:
• Kobo announced the first batch of drill results from the 2025 exploration campaign at its Kossou Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire.
• The results were from four holes at the Jagger Zone and returned multiple high grade gold intercepts and improved geological understanding.
• The 2025 program will consist of between 20,000-30,000m of diamond drilling, the largest program on the project since initial discovery.

This morning, Kobo Resources (KRI:TSXV) announced the initial results from its recently commenced 2025 diamond drill program at its 100% owned Kossou Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. The results were fully focused on the Jagger Zone and returned multiple high-grade gold intercepts (several intercepts per hole) and significantly improved KRI’s understanding of the geology and structural controls within the zone. As previously guided, the Company plans to drill 20,000-30,000m in 2025, with results being reported late into the year. We are maintaining our BUY rating and $0.55/share target price on KRI.

All four holes reported in this release intersected multiple gold-bearing shear structures (see page 2 for the full drill highlights) and validated the Company’s exploration model. Additionally, today’s results indicate additional mineralization in the footwall of the Jagger Shear Zone within the ‘Jagger Structure 6’ (Figures 2 & 3). Management stated that additional drilling is warranted in this area to further define the target.

The current understanding is that the Jagger Zone occurs within a ~70m wide zone of shearing and is associated with the quartz feldspar porphyry and diorite intrusives within the basalts, part of an overall 200m wide deformation zone (Figure 1). Today’s results give us confidence that KRI will be able to define additional mineralized zones and strategically advance the project. We remind readers of the extremely fast assay turnaround time of ~5 days, which allows the team to interpret results and quickly integrate this new information into the exploration campaign.

The majority of the high-grade intercepts reported today are less than 100m downhole, emphasizing the open pit potential of this deposit. Highlights include:

• KDD0076: 4.13 g/t Au over 2.0m (plus 3 more intercepts)
• KDD0077: 1.13 g/t Au over 10.0m, and 2.07 g/t over 8.0m including 4.23 g/t over 3.0m, and 1.88 g/t Au over 5.0m
• KDD0078: 3.08 g/t Au over 3.0m including 6.95 g/t over 1.0m, and 1.64 g/t over 6.0m including 8.47 g/t over 1.0m, and 1.63 g/t over 7.3m including 8.62 g/t over 1.0m
• KDD0079: 2.16 g/t Au over 8.0m including 5.20 g/t over 2.0m, and 1.64 g/t over 8.4m including 2.23 g/t over 5.4m
