NIM: Launching Drill Campaign at New Craigmont Copper Project

What you need to know:
• Nicola has officially commenced its 2025 diamond drilling campaign at the New Craigmont Copper Project near Merritt, BC.
• The program includes 4,000–5,000m of drilling across multiple porphyry and skarn-style copper targets, including two new, undrilled zones.
• The campaign builds on 2024 results from the MARB-CAS corridor and follows the discovery of the Draken copper showing in 2023.
• We have increased our estimates for the Merritt Mill as it moves closer to production in Q3 and Q4.

This morning, Nicola Mining Corp. (NIM:TSXV, HUSIF:OTC) announced the commencement of its 2025 diamond drilling program at the New Craigmont Copper Project near Merritt, BC. The campaign is focused on testing porphyry and skarn-style copper mineralization across multiple high-priority targets, including newly identified zones generated in partnership with ALS GoldSpot. The Company plans to drill 4,000–5,000m as part of this season’s program, with operations expected to continue through September. We are maintaining our BUY rating and $0.60/share target price on Nicola Mining.

Data-Driven Targeting
The New Craigmont Copper Project sits adjacent to Teck’s Highland Valley Copper Mine and remains one of British Columbia’s few remaining high-grade historical copper assets with near-term upside. We remind readers that Nicola’s Merritt Milling Facility, which is expected to begin processing gold from its partners this month, is on the same property as New Craigmont. If a discovery can be made at New Craigmont, it could provide feed to the mill.

Nicola’s current drill program is backed by a comprehensive geophysical and geochemical analysis conducted with ALS GoldSpot, which identified several high-potential targets, including MARB, WP, and Draken; two of which have yet to be drilled. The program is designed to delineate both shallow and deep porphyry-style mineralization, with results expected to drive a more expansive exploration thesis.

We view this exploration campaign as a timely and strategic push to unlock value from Nicola’s copper asset while gold production ramps up at the Merritt Mill. Given the historical copper grades and the scale of past production, we believe New Craigmont could become a cornerstone asset for Nicola as the global copper market tightens.
