This morning, Omai Gold Mines Corp. (OMG:TSXV, OMGGF:OTC) announced additional drill results from the Omai gold project in Guyana. In 2023, a total of 5,235m have been completed in 14 holes with one of the best holes in the program being reported today. Hole 23ODD-065 reported two very wide gold zones, one 27.5m and the other 25.5m, both relatively close to surface. The larger of the two wide gold zones intersected 4.54 g/t Au over 27.5m for 124.9 gram-meters. This hole was drilled at the western end of the Wenot deposit to test a 150m wide gap along strike between holes 21ODD-022 which previously reported a high-grade intercept of 16.8 g/t Au over 6.0m. The connection of these wide high-grade gold zones will be significant value drivers in a future open pit operation. We are maintaining our BUY rating and target price of $0.30/share on Omai Gold Mines.
Hole-065 was ended prematurely, when the drill rods became stuck, prior to reaching the targeted central shear where additional high-grade gold zones were expected (Figure 1).
