Last week, Trigon Metals Inc. (TM:TSXV) announced strong confirmatory drill results at its Kombat Mine in Namibia. The results are some of the best intercepts reported by the Company and are notably, at-surface. The highlight intercepts were 6.15% Cu over 18.0m and 5.56% Cu over 15.5m, across two different holes. The Company also highlighted that the de-watering of the underground is ahead of schedule and it is likely underground operations will commence in early Q2. These releases, combined with the pending production results from the open pit operation, should mark a significant milestone for the Company as it completes its pivot from a development company to a producer. We are maintaining our BUY rating and C$0.60/share target price on TM.
Today’s drill results have successfully confirmed mineralized zones identified from the historical drill results. Highlights include:
• Hole K15FLW02: 2.59% Cu & 36.7 g/t Ag over 9.0m, from 26m, and 1.35% Cu & 17.2 g/t Ag over 9.3m, from 49m
• Hole K15FLW03: 5.56% Cu & 81.4 g/t Ag over 15.5m, from 10m (Figure 2)
• Hole K15FLW09: 1.01% Cu & 14.4 g/t Ag over 9.8m, from 10.2m, and 1.44% Cu & 23.4 g/t Ag over 7.0m from 25m, and 1.91% Cu & 37.3 g/t Ag, from 43m.
• Hole K15FLW11: 6.15% Cu & 81.8 g/t Ag over 18.0m, from 18m.
