BIZIM - BETTER: TL1.0mn (vs. net loss of TL19.4mn in 1Q17), better than exp of TL0.4mn. 3.1% EBITDA margin in 1Q18 (vs. a negative EBITDA margin at -0.9% in 1Q17) also showed remarkable improvement, yet that strength (driven both by higher gross margin and opex controls) is not reflected at the same rate to the bottom line due to 1) net tax income of TL6mn in 1Q17 vs. a net tax expense of TL1mn (45% effective tax rate) in 1Q18; 2) Net interest expense on trade payables vs. receivables reported below the operating profit line have risen to 1.8% of revenue in 1Q18 vs. 1.4% in 1Q17.
