Alex Barker Joins Korn Ferry Hay Group as Senior Client Partner

Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), the preeminent global people and organizational advisory firm, today announced that Alex Barker has joined the firm as Senior Client Partner in the Korn Ferry Hay Group Executive Pay & Governance practice based in the Boston office. Mr. Barker will be part of the Health Care Executive Pay team and will lead the Physician Compensation & Governance practice.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Barker was the Vice President of Compensation, Benefits and Physician Services at Lahey Health. He has also worked as a VP General Counsel, VP Operations for Carolinas Healthcare Systems, Duke University Medical Center faculty practices.

Mr. Barker brings a strong operational and business background to this role. He has extensive expertise in physician and advance practice provider compensation and aligning compensation plans with performance metrics. He has advised boards and compensation committees on compensation and benefit plans, regulatory compliance and physician strategic planning. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a member of the North Carolina and Connecticut bar. Mr. Barker has also been an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina and presented on many health care topics including provider compensation, recruitment and retention, regulatory issues and value based care.

Mr. Barker holds a J.D. from Widner University, a M.H.A from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a B.A. from the University of Connecticut. Prior to his health care career, he was in the U.S. Navy and was a JAG lawyer.
