Deborah Wing Joins Korn Ferry as Senior Client Partner

Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY) today announced that Deborah ("Dee") Wing, M.D. has joined the firm as Senior Client Partner in the Academic Health Center Practice. She will be based in Korn Ferry’s Los Angeles office.

An internationally recognized academic obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Wing is a physician leader who lends contemporary industry knowledge to her senior search assignments focusing on recruiting top executives for academic health science centers with a sensitivity to advancing diversity.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Dr. Wing served as the Division Director for Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California, Irvine and the Director of its subspecialty fellowship.

In these roles, she developed the Division by opening a Perinatal Research Laboratory, acquiring nearly $8M in NIH-funding, and training dozens of fellows who went on to faculty positions in leading academic institutions including Northwestern, Johns Hopkins and the University of Colorado. The clinical enterprise of her Division expanded to multiple outreach sites and the faculty grew by more than two-fold.

“Dee brings a strong academic background, deep understanding of healthcare and leadership, and a passion for advancing diversity in academic healthcare,” said Warren Ross, M.D. Senior Client Partner, Global Sector Leader, Academic Medicine. “We look forward to having her join our growing practice.”

Dr. Wing is board-certified in obstetrics-gynecology and in the subspecialty of maternal-fetal medicine. She served as an examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and on the maternal-fetal medicine division. She is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and previously served on its Board of Directors. She has also served as a consultant for several national and international biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms.

Dr. Wing received an MBA from the Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine in 2015, a Bachelor’s degree from Pomona College in Claremont, CA and a Doctorate of Medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Wing completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Southern California.
