“The video series was designed to get back to the basics of life insurance, focusing on why these products are so important and the value of the protection they provide,” said James Christie, assistant vice president, Competitive Services for Lincoln Financial Distributors, who hosted the videos. “We wanted to remind advisors and their clients that life insurance is purchased out of love–because you want to protect your future and the future of your loved ones.”

“Why Life?” and “Now is the Time” are the first videos to launch across social media channels. Versions of the videos will be available for both advisors and their clients. The advisor version of “Why Life?” guides advisors on how to initiate life insurance conversations with their clients, while the client version discusses why a client should consider purchasing a life insurance policy. Together, the two videos were designed to encourage a constructive initial conversation between an advisor and their client.

“The videos will go more in depth as the series progresses,” said Christie. “Our goal is to provide advisors with educational resources to help start the conversation with their clients through information they may not have found elsewhere.”

Also included in the series, “Why LTC?” and “Timing Is Everything” will discuss the importance of planning for funding potential long-term care expenses, and the affects that timing has on important financial decisions.
