About the Forbes America’s Best Employers List Methodology

The Forbes Best Employers list was chosen based on an independent survey conducted between September 9, 2016 and October 7, 2016. The sample included 30,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations. Employees were contacted anonymously through several online panels in order to ensure they openly shared their opinions. Their participation was voluntary. Willingness to recommend one’s own employer was considered to be the most important aspect of the survey. The final list of employers is categorized into 25 industry sectors.
