Lincoln Financial Group Names Andrea Goodrich Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary

Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC) announced that Andrea Goodrich has joined the company as senior vice president and corporate secretary, effective today. She reports directly to Kirkland Hicks, executive vice president and general counsel for Lincoln Financial. In her role, Goodrich will lead a Corporate Law team that has responsibility for contracts, mergers & acquisitions, intellectual property, investment transactions, securities and tax.

“Andi is an accomplished legal professional, and I am thrilled that she decided to join our organization,” said Hicks. “I am confident that her diverse background of experience, coupled with a demonstrated track record of effective leadership, will enable Lincoln Financial to advance its business strategy and maintain its position as an industry leader.”

Prior to joining Lincoln Financial, Goodrich served in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility at Johnson Controls (formerly Tyco International), including her most recent position as vice president, corporate secretary and associate general counsel.

Goodrich began her career more than 20 years ago as a law clerk, before moving to Alston and Bird, where she started as an associate and moved into a partner position.

She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and she earned a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In addition, Goodrich is an active member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
