NTT DATA Expands Automation Capabilities with Blue Prism Partnership

NTT DATA Services, a recognized leader in global technology services, today announced it has partnered with Blue Prism, the global leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), to further expand the company’s automation capabilities. NTT DATA will offer RPA implementation and support for its global client base through Blue Prism’s enterprise-grade “Digital Workforce.”

“This partnership further validates our market leadership in delivering RPA solutions to the world’s most successful organizations,” said Martin Flood, executive vice president, global sales, Blue Prism. “We deliver a best-in-class automation platform that can easily scale to execute billions of transactions and interactions flawlessly while accelerating access to AI and cognitive capabilities. NTT DATA also gives Blue Prism more inroads and support for joint customers in the Asia Pacific region.”

Blue Prism has emerged as the RPA platform of choice for Fortune 500 companies looking to deploy a successful digital workforce. That’s because the company’s software offers a scalable, intelligent automation platform that delivers the highest requirement levels for audit, security and compliance while taking advantage of cloud and AI capabilities for clients in industries such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecom and retail.

“Organizations simply cannot be effective with a digital strategy without automating processes intelligently,” said Phil Fersht, CEO and chief analyst at HfS Research. “Forget all the hype around robotics and jobs going away, this is about making processes run digitally so smart organizations can grow their digital businesses and create new work and opportunities.”

The new partnership is now part of NTT DATA’s end-to-end automation ecosystem, Solutions for Intelligent Automation (SIA). The solutions apply advanced analytics and machine learning to allow humans, autonomics, and virtual assistants to work together to automate repetitive tasks and deliver enterprise innovation and business growth.

“We helped a major healthcare provider achieve a 90 percent reduction in processing time with 100 percent accuracy through the automation of claims adjudication and adjustment and helped a national health plan provider achieve near-perfect accuracy by applying similar RPA. In all cases NTT DATA’s solutions led to an improvement in both productivity and accuracy by taking a holistic approach to automation,” said Dan Thomas, vice president of automation, integration and alliances, NTT DATA Services. “Our partnership with Blue Prism and our established automation service offerings, will further our efforts to deliver insights, solutions and outcomes that matter to our clients.”

NTT DATA employs a seven-step “SMARTER” methodology to help customers increase the rate of success for automation initiatives. The holistic approach - which encompasses Survey, Model, Analyze, Record, Transform, Evaluate and Re-invent - leverages proprietary machine learning and cognitive intelligent systems across the data center, applications, network, devices and business processes. Each of the seven steps has corresponding timelines, activities and deliverables to create a better experience and defined outcomes from automation.

Coupled with the Blue Prism partnership, NTT DATA’s Solutions for Intelligent Automation is capable of implementing and maintaining various types of automation for businesses new to automation, as well as those looking to enhance their efforts.

NTT's 3Q results largely improved. Key points to note is the continued recovery in ARPU in mobile, and continued revenue recovery in the Global Solutions and Regional business. However, mobile marketing spend has dented profitability again, with management revising guidance for full year 2025 across the board downwards. We continue to be Buyers but prefer KDDI and SB (our top pick among the 3 Japanese incumbents).
