Sam’s Club Invites Shoppers to Eat, Drink and Be “Appy” This December

December is synonymous with gifts, gatherings and good cheer. To help keep the holiday spirit going, Sam’s Club is providing members with a slew of events during the month that offer savings on last-minute shopping, tasty samples and a new app that lets them skip the checkout line.

As holiday parties kick into high gear, members can swing by their local club during the Taste of Sam’s Events to stock up on savory appetizers, sweet treats and fresh food finds. Taking place on two consecutive weekends (Dec. 9 – Dec. 11 and Dec. 16 – Dec.18), families can taste-before-they-buy with special samples throughout the day.

For the 90 percent of shoppers who left gift buying last on their holiday to-do list*, Sam’s Club has them covered. During the Last Minute Gifts Event taking place online and in club on Sat., Dec. 17, members can fill their carts with stocking stuffers, gaming gear, and items for even hard-to-please tweens and teens (while supplies last, no rain checks, available in-club and online unless otherwise noted) including:

  • Xbox One 500GB Console ($179)
  • JBL GO Portable Speaker 2 Pack ($29.88)
  • 11.6” HD IPS edge-to-edge Gorilla Glass® Touchscreen Chromebook ($199)
  • Skullcandy XT Free or Grind Wireless Headphones ($49.88)
  • LG 55” Class 4K UHD Smart TV ($498)
  • Canon Selphy CP1200 Compact Photo Printer ($79.97)
  • FitBit Charge 2 Bundle ($139.88)
  • Copper Chef Pro Deep 11” Pan Set with 12” Round Pan ($49.98)
  • Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Fragrance ($49.97)

Starting now, members can swiftly fill their cart and skip the checkout line with the new Scan & Go app. With an Android or iPhone, members can scan the UPC code on items as they shop, pay using an uploaded credit card and show a digital receipt to an associate on their way out — all without going through a register. As an added benefit, the new app also allows users to tap into member-exclusive savings and easily track spending throughout their trip.

For more unexpected holiday finds, visit SamsClub.com every week throughout December. Sam’s Club will be sharing a treasure-trove of new holiday items as part of its Shocking Values Program. The surprise offerings will rotate throughout the month but often sell out within 24 hours, so members should be sure to check back frequently for luxe toys, lavish vacations and much more.

Vermilion Compass: Weekly Equity Strategy

Upgrading Consumer Staples to Overweight Our intermediate-term outlook remains bearish/cautious, and we continue to believe a prolonged downturn is likely, which has been the case since our 4/1/25 Compass. We will remain cautious and we will continue to favor defensives as long as the S&P 500 is below its 200-day MA (currently 5750) or 5785 level. There have been substantial trading opportunities in both directions, and we expect that to continue; we discussed in our 4/8/25 Compass that a logic...
