Sam’s Club will open its first location in Conway on Thursday, Jan. 19. Doors open at 1250 S. Amity Road following an 8 a.m. grand opening ceremony.

The club will employ approximately 175 associates and offer a full pharmacy, optical and hearing aid centers, fresh departments including meat, dairy and produce, and fresh sushi made in-club daily.
New club innovations
Shopping at Sam’s Club has never been
more convenient. Members of the Conway club can utilize the company’s
new shopping app, Scan
& Go, for a lines-free shopping experience. The mobile app works
by scanning UPC codes on merchandise as shoppers load them into their
cart. When the shopping is done, members can pay directly on their
smartphone from anywhere in the club and bypass the checkout line
completely.
The Conway club will also offer free Club Pickup, which allows members to order household or business items at SamsClub.com and pick them up under the drive-thru canopy.
Commitment to community
As part of the grand opening
festivities, Sam’s Club will be awarding $25,000 in grants to several
local nonprofits for the work they are doing to make the community a
better place to live and work. Statewide in the last fiscal year, Sam’s
Club and Walmart provided over $74 million in cash and in-kind donations
to nonprofit organizations in the state of Arkansas. These donations
represent community grants, food donations and associate volunteer
efforts from stores, clubs and the Walmart Foundation.
Sam’s Club is also proud to support small business owners through the company’s Road Show program. This consignment-based program provides local, regional and national entrepreneurs the chance to set up shop inside Sam’s Club while providing members access to exciting and one of a kind products. Conway’s grand opening will feature Road Show items such as Woody’s BBQ sauce, Chef Shamy Gourmet Butters, Vitamix Blenders, We’re Nuts and Monster Moto Electric. Grand opening ceremony to feature local officials, special events
Conway
Mayor Bart Castleberry and members of the Conway Area Chamber of
Commerce will be among those attending Thursday’s ceremony. The Veterans
of Foreign Wars Post 2259 Honor Guard will present the colors and
associate James Giles will be singing the national anthem.
To add to the excitement, sports fans will have the opportunity to meet former Arkansas Razorback and Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones during the event. Jones will be signing autographs at the new club on opening day from 2-4 p.m. Sam’s Club will also showcase a variety of food samples and product demonstrations throughout grand opening weekend.
