A thematic play on Egypt

36% upside, combining growth and yield. EKH provides exposure to top themes in Egypt that we expect will gain traction over the medium term: import substitution, export competitiveness and the government’s drive to reduce subsidies. Nonetheless, the stock trades on a 2017e P/E of 9.8x falling to 5.6x in 2018e, as new exportable formica sheets (high pressure laminate) capacity is launched at wholly-owned unit, Sprea Chemicals. EKH also offers an attractive USD-dividend yield of 4.7% in 2017e. We raise our TP by 9.5% to USD0.90/share based on i) higher EBITDA from new export capacity as of 2018 and ii) better operating rates at Alexfert of 95% as of 2017 vs. c80% previously, (2014-16 average was 60%) due to consistent feedstock supply.
