Norske Skog (Buy, TP: NOK90.00) - Mixed Q2, but more good than bad

Although harsher market conditions have prompted a c10% cut to our 2023e EBITDA, earnings remain healthy and for 2024 the company should receive strong support from its new packaging business, which is ramping up according to plan. On a positive note, Norske Skog is clear that it will start utilising its 10% buyback mandate in ‘H2, which should prove highly value-accretive. We have cut our target price to NOK90 (100), but reiterate our BUY.
