UPM (Hold, TP: EUR32.00) - Outlook mixed, but improving

Q4 was characterised by strong activity and accelerating pulp prices in China, with the latter appearing to spread to Europe in the final months of the year. This provides a good basis for a rebound in UPM’s earnings, with only falling paper prices clouding the 2021 outlook. We are slightly below consensus for 2021e due to lower forecasts for Communications Paper, and see limited upside potential after a strong share price performance. We have raised our target price to EUR32 (28), but downgraded to HOLD (BUY).
