Wallenius Wilhelmsen ASA (Buy, TP: NOK29.00) - Reining in costs

Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s Q2 results are due before 20:00 CET on 18 August, and we believe investor focus will likely be on cost control, which is the main uncertainty in our view. Based on cost savings achieved in Q1 and a favourable bunker price trend for Q2, we have lowered our Q2–Q3e operating expenses, which has lifted our 2020e EBITDA by 38%. Container liners – another industry shipping segment – have performed well so far despite Covid-19, and we will look for the company’s car freight market outlook. Following a change of analyst, we reiterate our BUY and NOK29 target price.
