Preliminary results 2019: Gateway with record earnings and strong operating performance

• EBIT adjusted¹⁾ expected to increase to EUR 158 million to EUR 160 million in 2019
• Preliminary profit after tax in 2019 is expected to reach EUR 129 million to EUR 131 million
• Volume of sales contracts reached around EUR 1 billion in the past fiscal year
• Dividend is planned to be increased to EUR 0.30 per dividend-entitled share
• Net debt ratio further reduced to approximately 2.4 x of EBIT adjusted¹

Frankfurt am Main, 10 March 2020. Gateway Real Estate AG (WKN A0JJTG / ISIN DE000A0JJTG7), one of Germany's leading listed developers of commercial real estate, expects record results for the fiscal year 2019 based on preliminary, unaudited financial figures.

The company continues its dynamic growth course and is expected to generate an EBIT adjusted¹⁾ of EUR 158 million to EUR 160 million in the financial year 2019, which is significantly above the original company forecast of more than EUR 130 million (previous year: EUR 73.3 million).

The preliminary profit after tax in 2019 is expected to reach EUR 129 million to EUR 131 million (previous year: EUR 33.2 million). In addition, the company was also able to reduce net debt ratio to 2.4 x of EBIT adjusted¹ (previous year: 7.1 x).

In line with the communicated corporate strategy, in the past fiscal year the company has disposed of its at-equity investments and thus consistently further optimized its real estate and project development portfolio. At the same time, the basis for an ongoing positive development of the company in the coming business years was laid through targeted project acquisitions.

In view of the positive business figures for fiscal year 2019, Gateway Real Estate AG's Management Board decided to propose to the Supervisory Board a further increase in the dividend to EUR 0.30 per entitled share (previous year: EUR 0.10).

Gateway Real Estate AG will publish the final results and the annual report for fiscal 2019 on 30 March 2020. Until then the company will also announce an outlook for fiscal 2020.
