​As expected, banks decreased investments in CDs on Thursday, as the NBU sold only ON CDs on Friday, and the amount was insufficient. Fourteen-day CDs usually are excluded from the offering on the day when the NBU board meets on monetary policy. This caused a decline in CDs outstanding with an increase in banks' accounts balances.
