Lotus Bakeries is a bakery group based in Belgium. Co. produces and sells bakery products under the Lotus, Peijnenburg and Annas brand names. Co. focuses on authentic specialties from the biscuit and cake world: original caramelized biscuits (Biscoff), gingerbread, cake specialties, waffles and pepparkakor biscuits. Co. maintains production facilities in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Sweden. Co. maintains its own sales organizations and cooperates with commercial partners in approximately 10 European countries including the United States, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Chile.
Sipef is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries and associated companies, Co. is primarily engaged in the development and production of sundry commodities, including palm oil, palm kernels, tea, tropical fruits and flowers, bananas, pineapples, ornamental plants, guava, pepper and natural rubber. Palm oil, which is Co.'s most important commodity, is used within the cosmetics industry, in soaps and detergents, as a supplement to cattle and poultry feed, for production of protein, and for several other purposes. Ter Beke is a fresh food group operating in ten European countries. Co. has two business segments: Processed Meats and Fresh Ready Meals. Processed Meats is engaged in pre-packed processed meat including: salami; cooked ham; processed poultry; pate; cooked meats; and dried and cured meats. Co.'s distribution brands and brand names for this segment are L'Ardennaise®, Pluma®, and Daniel Coopman®. Fresh Ready Meals produces ready meals through the brand names: Come a casa® and Vamos®.
Umicore is global player in the materials technology and recycling industries. Co. focuses on application areas such as chemistry, materials science, metallurgy and recycling. Co.'s business model comprises four segments: Catalysis, Performance Materials, Energy Materials and Recycling. Catalysis focuses on the abatement of global automotive emissions; Performance Materials focuses on materials that help develop more sophisticated and safer products; Energy Materials produces materials used in the production and storage of clean energy including rechargeable batteries and photovoltaics; and Recycling treats complex waste streams containing precious and other non-ferrous metals.
