Co. sells its products to a wide customer base in the automotive, medical and industrial markets in Europe, Asia and North America. Co.'s main products are Hall effect ICs, Pressure and Acceleration Sensors, Sensor Interface ICs, Automotive Systems-on-a-Chip, Embedded Microcontrollers, Bus System Chips, Optical and Infrared sensors. In each case the products are primarily developed for automotive applications and designated lead customers with subsequent use in commercial and industrial applications.

Melexis reported a comforting 1Q24 update pointing towards an end of destocking. The company is performing relatively well taking into account the weakness in automotive production. This is supported by R&D driving good levels of design wins. We leave our estimates largely unchanged but we still expect below average growth for 2024-25F on the back of limited car production growth and above-average price pressure. We reiterate our HOLD rating and maintain our DCF-based target of €85.

Xior 1Q24 Results show strong underlying performance, no JV deal

Xior 1Q24 EPRA EPS came far above our expectations at EUR 0.52 vs. 0.42 expected, thanks to a mix of factors: new assets + lfl growth, rental guarantees, cost savings and permitted hedging results. All these factors combined compensated the cost of debt increase to 3.18% (+88bps, bridge loan). The LTV came slightly below our expectation at 52.4% vs. 52.7% exp. The asset sale disposals advance with 100m closed and 220m committed, but Xior abandoned the route of a JV deal. During 1Q24, Quest for Growth booked a net loss of –€1.4m while return on equity for the period was -1.0%. NAVps remained stable at €7.4ps (vs. €7.46ps during FY23-end). Within quoted assets, ABO Wind returned +42.0%, Tubize returned +25% and EVS Broadcasting returned +15% during 1Q24. Tubize and EVS are the largest positions in the portfolio as of 1Q24-end.
