Manufacturing for the cochlear implant product range is based in Australia. The bone conduction implant product range is manufactured in Sweden. Co.'s supply chain operates with product being distributed from its manufacturing sites in Australia and Sweden to its regional distribution centres in the U.S., the U.K. and Panama.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia provides integrated financial services including retail, business and institutional banking, funds management, superannuation, life insurance, general insurance, broking services and finance company activities. Co. operates in seven segments, Retail banking Services, Business and Private Banking, Institutional Banking and Markets, Wealth Management, New Zealand, Bankwest, as well as International Financial Services and Other Divisions. As of June 30 2016, Co. had total assets of A$933.1 million and total deposits of A$588.0 million.
CSL is engaged in the research, development, manufacture, marketing and distribution of biopharmaceutical and allied products. Co.'s operations are divided into three segments: CSL Behring, Seqirus, and CSL Intellectual Property. CSL Behring is engaged in manufacturing, marketing and developing plasma therapies (plasma products and recombinants). Seqirus is engaged in manufacturing and distributing non-plasma biotherapeutic products. CSL Intellectual Property is engaged in the licensing of intellectual property of Co. to unrelated third parties. Co. operates primarily in five specific geographic areas, namely Australia, the U.S., Germany, Switzerland, and the U.K.
James Hardie Industries is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of fiber cement products and systems for internal and external building construction applications in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Europe. Co.'s fiber cement products are used in a number of markets, including new residential construction, manufactured housing, repair and remodeling and a variety of commercial and industrial applications. Co. manufactures numerous types of fiber cement products with a variety of patterned profiles and surface finishes for a range of applications, including external siding and soffit lining, internal linings, facades, and floor and tile underlayments.
Mineral Resources is a provider of mining infrastructure services. These services consist of: site services, including remote mine-site accommodation services, remote power services, and aerodrome management or personnel transport; mining services, including mine scheduling and grade control, mining operations and mine site haulage, dewatering and equipment hire; plant or processing services, including crushing and mineral processing, mobile processing services, and pipeline and water solutions; transport services, including road and rail logistics, ownership of locomotives and wagons, and road transport solutions; port services, including port logistics; and commodity sales and marketing.
Navitas provides educational services to domestic and overseas students. Co.'s segments are: University Partnerships, which delivers education programs, via pathway colleges and managed campuses, to students requiring a university education; SAE Institute, which delivers education programs in creative media including courses in audio, film and multimedia; and Professional and English Programs, which delivers English language tuition, jobs skills training and higher and vocational education in health, security and psychology, and is comprised of four business units: English and Foundation Skills, Careers and Learning Skills, Navitas Professional Institute, and Training and Development.
NIB Holdings operates in five segments: Australian Residents Health Insurance, which consists of Co.'s main product offering within the Australian private health insurance industry; New Zealand Residents Health Insurance, which consists of Co.'s main product offering within the New Zealand private health insurance Industry; International (Inbound) Health Insurance, which consists of Co.'s offering of health insurance products for international students and workers; World Nomads Group, which consists of Co.'s distribution of travel insurance products; and NIB Options, which consists of Co.'s facilitation of access to cosmetic and dental treatment both overseas and in Australia.
Oil Search is engaged in the exploration, development and production of oil and gas deposits in Papua New Guinea. This is carried out as both the operator of producing and exploration joint ventures and as a non-operator participant in exploration and production joint ventures. Co.'s properties include the Kutubu oil project, Central Moran oil project, Gobe oil project, Hides GTE project, SE Mananda field, and Nabrajah. Co. also has interests in seven concession areas in Yemen, three concession areas in Egypt, and one concession area in Libya. Co. maintains operations in Papua New Guinea, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, and Australia.
Rio Tinto is a mining group based in the United Kingdom and Australia. Co. is engaged in the business of finding, mining and processing mineral resources. Co.'s major products are iron ore, aluminium, copper, diamonds, coal, uranium, gold and industrial minerals (borax, titanium dioxide and salt). Co.'s activities span the world but are strongly represented in Australia and North America with significant businesses in South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. Co.'s operations comprise four principal product groups - Iron Ore, Aluminium, Copper and Diamonds, and Energy & Minerals.
Santos is a natural gas company engaged in the exploration for, and development, production, transportation and marketing of, hydrocarbons. Co.'s operating segments consist of five key assets/operating areas of: Cooper Basin; Gladstone LNG; Papua New Guinea; Northern Australia; and Western Australia gas; based on the nature and geographical location of the assets, plus Other non-core assets. Co.'s proved petroleum reserves were 485.0 million barrels of oil equivalent at Dec 31 2016.
Tabcorp Holdings is an Australian gambling entertainment company. Co. has three segments: Wagering and Media operations, which includes its network of TAB agencies, hotels and clubs, and on-course totalisators in Victoria, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) as well as its Three Sky Racing television channels broadcasting thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing and other sports; Gaming Services business, which consist of Tabcorp Gaming Solutions that provides a mix of gaming capabilities, services, advice and financing to licensed gaming venues; and Keno business, a random number game that is distributed to clubs, hotels and TABs and is available online in the ACT.
Trade Me Group is a online marketplace and classified advertising platform that is engaged in the auctions and fixed price sales for new and used goods, as well as automotive, real estate and employment businesses. Co. is also engaged in the web businesses for accommodation, dating and group buying.
Whitehaven Coal is principally engaged in the development and operation of coal mines in New South Wales. Co. has two reportable segments: Open Cut Operations and Underground Operations. Mining operations include Maules Creek open cut mine (75% Co. ownership and operator); Narrabri underground mine (70% Co. ownership and operator); and three smaller open cuts mines, Tarrawonga (70% Co. ownership and operator), Rocglen (100% Co. ownership) and Werris Creek (100% Co. ownership).
WiseTech Global is engaged in providing software solutions to the logistics industry across more than 125 countries. Co. develops, sells and implements software solutions that enable logistics service providers to facilitate the movement and storage of goods and information domestically and internationally. Co.'s customers range from small and mid-sized regional or domestic enterprises to large multi-national companies.
WorleyParsons is a services provider to the resources, energy and industrial sectors. Co. has four business lines of Services, Major Projects, Improve and Advisian and three customer sectors, each of which is focused on customers involved in the following activities: Hydrocarbons, which includes the extraction and processing of oil and gas; Minerals, Metals and Chemicals, which includes the extraction and processing of mineral resources and the manufacture of chemicals; Infrastructure, which includes projects related to water, the environment, transport, ports and site remediation and decommissioning, and all forms of power generation, transmission and distribution.
