Moody's assigns Baa3 to Albemarle's new $1.5 billion notes issuance
Moody's assigned Baa3 ratings to Albemarle Corporation's approximately $1.5 billion new senior unsecured notes with 5, 10 and 30 year maturities. Proceeds of the notes are expected to be used to repay $425 million in 2024 notes, CP outstandings, a portion of which was used to finance the recent Hunt...Albemarle is a global developer, manufacturer and marketer of chemicals across a range of end markets including energy storage, petroleum refining, consumer electronics, construction, automotive, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, crop protection and custom chemistry services. The company's segments include: Lithium, which develops and manufactures a range of basic lithium compounds and lithium specialties and reagents; Bromine Specialties, which includes products used in fire safety solutions and other chemicals applications; and Catalysts, which includes Clean Fuels Technologies, fluidized catalytic cracking catalysts and additives, and performance catalyst solutions.
