As Expected, ABN Announced Further Cost-Cutting Measures, Reiterated Its Commitment to Restructuring
ABN Amro reported a decent third quarter with underlying profit showing a 19% improvement on last year. The increase came mainly on the back of lower impairment charges, a slight improvement in operating profit, and increased other income, driven by a EUR 52 million revaluation of Equens shares.
